It's been..what...a couple months since I last updated this thing? Not that I care really. It's just a boring Monday night (or Tuesday morning, if you're being picky) and I have nothing better to do.
So, earlier today, I went shopping with Rachel for a certain someone's (who shall remain nameless, though anyone who knows him....or her....could probably figure it out) birthday present. Now, she claimed to want to buy something unusual. Something they would never suspect. But I won't divulge any more information about said gift because I might give it away. But anyway, we went downstairs at Sears in Washington Square into the tools and whatnot section. I thought a nice garden hose or a shiny new wrench would make the ideal gift, but Rachel disagreed. In fact, she shot down every single one of my awesome ideas: a sleeping bag, a welding torch, a riding lawn mower...the list goes on and on. As a red-blooded American male, I would KILL to have someone buy me such manly gifts, but she declined, saying "it's a little out of my price range." How can you put a price on friendship? I don't understand it. Even my huge plastic bin filled with lots of packaging peanuts idea was shot down. It's both functional AND amusing.
Now, you might be asking yourself how the experience was hazardous to my health? Well, except for the fact that I played with many blunt objects that could easily cave in my skull, it really wasn't. I was just trying to get you to read my otherwise mundane post. Have a nice day.
