Well, well, well. What have we here but a lazy Monday evening. I spent the first hour home reading Memoirs of a Geisha, which my friend from Cyber, Jenn, kindly lent to me. Actually, I lied. I first ate some leftover dim sum stuff from Sunday's brunch, and the corningware bowl which once held delicious Chinese food is still sitting in front of me. Following that, I tried to begin work on my Cyber Tech portfolio presentation stills, but I had to stop after a while because my teacher still has my rough sketches. No one would really understand the assignment unless I sat them down and took five minutes to explain it to them... so I won't trouble your minds through Livejournal making you process all that redundant information. I find that' s the case with many Cyber assignments these days. No one understands why we're doing what we do, or how we're doing it to get our high 90's in the courses. It feels like a miniature Hogwarts, except with more little asian girls and less magic.) But I did the best I could, right? So what's left to do tonight is listed as follows, in no particular order: a summary of the Hamlet article for English (which, may I add, was the largest difficulty to read since.. well, I don't know!), a sketchbook assignment for Art, the textile assignment for Art, and do some Calculus homework. Lacking materials for my textile assignment and having left my sketchbook in my locker, that leaves Calculus or English homework to complete. Now, because I'm working with Chou on the English thing (and Sean, sorta. He tried to nudge his way into our awesome discussion last Friday, but we didn't really want him. Whatever. ) I guess I'll just talk to him later about finishing it. Now calculus homework, that I can do! I mean, at least while watching Madagascar - which I just downloaded last night. Good ol' animated comedy! I hope it's as good as people have made it out to be.
As of late I've noticed that the days have just been dragging on and on recently. But for passing agonizingly slowly, I haven't been able to note anything of significance to distinguish this week from the one before it. It is in my solemn and utmost belief that the notion of the coming holiday break is what's causing time to pass so indifferently and lacking in flavour. It is the prospect of spending those several weeks separated from school by (hopefully) a sea of snow which makes the days leading up to the holiday seem absent of excitement. As well, personal issues and schoolwork no doubt add to the burden of days that goes without so much as a "ho hum". Damn you, Christmas Break, come closer! The Christmas songs to wake up to in the morning, the cheerful activity of exchanging gifts, and most of all, spending time with friends and family. It's always been my unabashed desire to be able to spend my Christmas together with the apple of my eye, and I hope that this year turns out how I'd like it do. But, alas and alack, it seldom does. Still, we can hope, right? Ahh, that's it for now. You people out there, favourite winter/Christmas/holiday related memories?
I like to move it, move it!
