The Verdict: The OU of the OU
Alright, first thing's first, sorry about whiffing on the Trainer Report last week. I had a very, very busy week of classes for a certification I'm getting at work. It'll return this week. Also, in addition to that, I'll be posting a lot of things to the community as a way of jump-starting it. Please feel free to follow suit, whether it be a team you want rated, a single Pokémon you want rated, a feature you want to start or a topic for discussion you'd like to initiate.
This week I'm going to start something I hope generates a bit of discussion. I'm going to give you a list of 12 Pokémon and a list of questions for each, most of them the same, but at least one critter-specific question. Think of it as making your own personal verdict on the critters in question. Each week will have a different theme if this takes off. This week's theme... the most overused of the OU tier, plus a few wild-cards that used to be OU but are now wasting away in übers.
1. Blissey
- How often do you use Blissey?
- How do you use Blissey when/if you use it?
- Do you think it deserves the use it gets?
- Do you think it's overcentralizing?
2. Gengar
- How often do you use Gengar?
- How do you use Gengar when/if you use it?
- Do you think it deserves the use it gets?
- How much do you think Gengar would be used if it didn't have Levitate as its ability?
3. Salamence
- How often do you use Salamence?
- How do you use Salamence when/if you use it?
- Do you think it deserves the use it gets?
- With the addition of Outrage to its arsenal, is Salamence now broken?
4. Gyarados
- How often do you use Gyarados?
- How do you use Gyarados when/if you use it?
- Do you think it deserves the use it gets?
- How would the addition of a 1-turn physical Flying-STAB move to Gyarados' arsenal affect your moveset for it?
5. Heatran
- How often do you use Heatran?
- How do you use Heatran when/if you use it?
- Do you think it deserves the use it gets?
- Should Game Freak allow Heatran to breed in the next generation?
6. Shaymin
