Hyuga has a way of looking at you that makes you imagine the horrifying tinkle of children's laughter coming from behind the door of a mausoleum. Hyuga's unblinking, wide-eyed stare and the marionette pattern of fur on her chin give her a truly terrifying appearance, particularly when she sits in the rafters and stares down at you. She is the most shy and standoffish of the cats, and most guests do not get to see the cuddly side of her.
Because Hyuga can be one of the cuddliest cats around. When she feels safe and comfortable with the people in her surroundings, she will push her face hard into you and purr like a motorboat. Often she will cuddle with such abandon that she loses her balance and falls over. At times like these the scary puppet eyes look longing and sad, and her tiny mew will make you think that she has never been petted in her life. No matter how much attention she gets, Hyuga always looks and sounds starved for it.
Hyuga has a small frame, not much larger than Meilyn's. Sadly, she is the heaviest of all of the cats, and we fear she might be or become diabetic. When she is not staring creepily or flopping about for cuddles, Hyuga can usually be found grooming or being groomed by Violetta.
