So a bunch of mons have suddenly gone quiet. I don't like dis.

Neither do I. I have been exploring the ground around the temple and along the roads to Eider and Ardel, but I have seen no other statues - so their absence is not due to another cockatrice, unless they ventured into the forest and were caught there.

And I do not think that any of those absent would venture into the fog without first letting someone know.
