Their Companions were gone, along with the rest of Valdemar and its people. The other half of her soul was not just lost to her in distance, but lost to her forever. She is still in that same position when Kevas' voice comes over the communicator sitting on the bed near her head. She listens to his words, already knowing much of what he is sharing to the passengers of the Elegante. Deep down she hurts for him, knowing what it must be for him to tell this to everyone. He falls silent and then after a beat he continues, the message for her this time.
There is a stretch of silence and she pulls into her thoughts. She has rested enough that her shields are once again her own. She knows she can help him and that there is no excuse for her not to. Her gaze flits to the sword, cleaned and leaning against the wall near her door.
Though she'd rather languish in her own depression, Kevas is still a friend and one she'd promise aide to if she were at all able. She would not let him down now that he was reaching out to her. No matter ( ... )
