[It doesn't take too long before Cou arrives at the gym. In recent days, he's become rather familiar with it as he's been spending a few hours each day with his little acrobatic routines, but he's never really had a sparring partner to learn about this sort of thing with.

Actually, this whole prospect kind of reminds him of when Rowen was teaching him back in Razfe Ankul, so hopefully, he'll take something useful away from this.

Upon arrival, he spies a lone stranger and approaches, a sheathed saber at his side. His next words are probably not helped by the fact that he's never paid enough active attention to the comm to have ever seen his prospective sparring partner's face.]

Uh hey, I'm looking for a guy named Kevas. You seen him?

[Kevas stops his routine at Cou's arrival. He can't help but be amused at the liddle mon's question. Just how well will he take knowing that the person he's looking for is a troll Kevas wonders.]

Joo be lookin' at him liddle mon.

[Comment Log] - For the record, my tagging schedule should get better after Friday. Finals and all.

[Cou stands there a moment and scratches his head a little at the announcement. He'd run across more 'odd' people while escorting Ren to Edel Garden than he'd expected to really exist -no, he couldn't even say that. As an air pirate, he saw and helped loot even more people, though he had to admit that at least all of them were human.

Coming to what he'd decided was a cruise-liner from hell had only further introduced him to the concept of an exceptionally diverse world being out there. Particularly when one of his first friends was a big turtle and he still had no idea what in the hell it was decided to save his life when the ship descended into a psychotic-girl-controlled-nightmare.

So seeing a new person that pretty much matched what he'd found in the few books he'd taken the time to both find and skim over to be a troll with a funny accent, he just chalked it up to another day on the boat.

Extending a hand and offering his usual boyish grin, he gave a nod.]

[Kevas shakes his head if only to be polite. Normally Kevas doesn't like spending his time around children, most especially teenagers, but so far this one is showing some respect.]

[Pleasantries dispensed with, Cou gave a quick glance around at the kind of space they had to work with before returning his attention to his sparring partner.]

[Confident? Most definitely, but he's got over two decades of practice and experience under his belt. Besides, it's all in good fun anyways.]

[The overconfidence probably just went way over Cou's head as after how he'd last been taught about the more advanced parts of fighting, this was peculiarly and almost appreciably simple.

So he nods and draws his weapon, settling into an adapted version of the stance he usually took when wielding Ren... though her weapon form was of a significantly larger blade.]

Alright, I'm ready to start when you are.

[Giving his swords a twirl, Kevas slides into a stance and readies his weapons. He slowly strafes around the room as he sizes up Cou. Kevas won't attack yet. Right now he's looking for the perfect moment to strike.]
