Had another dentist appointment this afternoon. Today seemed different from the previous visits. I was in a oddly dissociative state interspersed with a vague sense of numbness.
Mum and the dentist were having a chat while waiting for the anaesthetic to settle in. I remembered feeling impatient and mildly annoyed. I wanted the whole extraction business to be over quickly.
The needles hurt a little more than usual and the extraction too though it took less than 5 seconds. Today was not a nice day.
