[A sudden rush of cloth smacks the communicator, effectively knocking it to the ground. Anemone picks it back up, laughing at it. Anemone sneezes, then makes a pouting sound as she picks it back up.]
I got by dress! The pretty o'de whed... Dewey took me dah'ci'g.
[She starts humming a song, then stops to cough for a moment.Hey Shih'ji, cad I co'b

[More uncurling and fixing crooked beanie. And stretching sore muscles. His item rain stuff is hidden in the shadows next to the couch, so he doesn't notice them yet.]

...you gotta be crazy to wear that in this weather. No wonder you're sick.
[Yeah. 'Oh wow that's cute,' ain't happening from tired Shinji. He does glance at the bow thing in the back kind of curiously.]

I'b dot sick!
['I'm not sick'. Right. She stomps, turning her head away before crossing her arms.]
I just got it a few biddits ago, lea'be alode!
['I just got it a few minutes ago, leave me alone'. But her throat was hoarse, so her speech was probably even worse.]

Then again, if he was half naked in that cold, he'd be pissed off too.]
Look... just come inside for a minute. [He shrugs off his own coat (which is pretty warm since he's been catnapping in it) and gently puts it on her shoulders. Then he tries to pull her inside.] I'll look at it again once you get outta this damn cold.

She whines about the coat but lets him put it on her anyway, and follows, still pouting.]
Doh't hurt the bow, jeez! It's dot that cold! ['Not that cold' her ass. But she liked the bow, and the dress was still really new; she had to keep it pretty.]

...and, in retrospect, a couple small bottles of darkness beer. He set all this stuff on the coffee table and then sat next to Anemone on the sofa.]
That stuff's all for you...drink some water at least, and then show me again or whatever.
[At which point he might not be too busy worrying to actually look at it.]

She wasn't really sure where Shinji was going, but when he came back with the water and makeshift handkerchiefs, and booze (really?!) she smiled at him.]
Thanks! [She took a sip of the water and grimaced; it didn't seem to help her nose at all. So handkerchief was next, just in time to catch a sneeze. Thankfully, it cleared up enough of her airway that she wouldn't sound as bizarre. Just nasally.]
Okay, here we go.
[Taking off his jacket, she turned around in place, grinning.] What do you think? It's cute, right?
Reply
He couldn't even work up a scowl for Anemone.] Tch. You're supposed to drink water if you're sick... take the bottle with you or something.
[He waited, fighting the urge to slide back into a nap. Until Anemone got up and spun in place. She was a bright twirl of color that didn't belong in her surroundings... just where had she gotten that dress, anyway?]
...Looks good on you. [Shinjiro wasn't the best at compliments, but it came out sounding thoughtful and genuine...and a little distant.]

[Once she twirled, she grinned, grabbing the water bottle again and taking another sip.]
Thanks, Shinji! I wore it to a ball once, and I got to go dancing.
[And she spun around his table until she could just plop down next to him.] ...hey, are you alright?
Reply
[Shinjiro took a couple easy swallows of his bitter liqour while Anemone twirled around. He frowned a little at what she said-- so she'd kept that dress clean since she got here? Unless...yeah now he remembered what she said earlier.]
So you just found it? I guess that means they gave us shit again... [His eyes flickered to one of the closed doors--then he blinked, startled when Anemone sat down next to him. He shrugged at her question and closed his eyes briefly.]
Yeah. Just thinking, that's all.

[Anemone just moved a bit closer, leaning on him.] You didn't notice? [Well, noticing by how tired he looked, he probably hadn't. She pulled his coat over, throwing it over him.]
What's up?
