I got a huge promotion at work!
I had applied for a new position but I didn't really have my hopes up for it. The person who last had the job was my manager's manager, so I thought I was too 'low on the totem pole' to even be considered. But I was wrong!
The new job is 'technology trainer' and I'm still working through what my work will be day-to-day. What I know is that I'll be teaching(or re-teaching) people how to use our proprietary software program 'Maestro' and I'll also be teaching some basic computer skills and MS Office... The best part is that I'll probably get to travel now and then. I'm really looking forward to the new work.
It didn't come with much of a raise, but it's a little bit more. I think they knew that I'd take the job no matter what they offered me, and they were right.
