UPA Rookie of the Year
Over the weekend I received a call from Charlie Williams and Frank Alvarez (UPA player rep) stating that I was in the running for Rookie of the Year for this year. Previously I didn't plan on going to the Tour Finals since it is at a bad time of year, but I asked them for more information to help make the decision.
It seems as though I am in 2nd place by a very small margin and if the guy in 1st place doesn't go to the event I automatically get the award. So today I booked the flight, hotel and paid the entry fee for the UPA Tour Finals in Vegas next week. I really couldn't afford it right now but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I can't just let it pass by.
