I love how you examine the Supernatural world and unpack it. It feels so rich and almost gothic in a way. Yet the strenght, like in the first part of the 'verse lies with the interpersonal relationships rather than merely the supernatural. Here, in this part the relationships between the different characters felt so strong and each felt so unique. In particular the way Gerard and Mikey defined themselves and their connection to Bob, William, the Leto's and Emilie really were such a great contrast to Dean and Sam who were so isolated in comparison.

It feels so rich and almost gothic in a way Thank you! That's a lovely thing to say.
I write about people, I always write about people that's why the relationships are a focus for me.
I think that The Ways would be different because they are the Ways, they were raised differently and always tried/would try to connect with the world, while Sam and Dean just live on the edge of it - like rules of the human/normal world just don't apply to them, while the Ways would still want to keep themselves in it.
