Valentines Day Mob Scene (2006)
Hey everyone!
I was on the SAK website (If you don't know what SAK is, it's a comedy improv venue here in Orlando) and saw the article on Bri and I winning a prize last Valentines.
Here it is... hehe.
Love was in the air at SAK this Valentines Day as we premiered our fabulous new show You Bet Your Asterisk. The lobby was filled with an eager mob ready for fun and frivolity. That same mob made sure the show ended as they wanted.
2 lucky and lovely couples got to compete as contestants for our improv game show. Since it was Valentine's Day the special grand prize was extra special and extra grandy!
Dinner for two to K Restaurant and Wine Bar in College Park!
The sold out show featured a bunch of SAK's funniest, performing hilarious improv scenes for the contestant couples they represented. The game winning couple moved to the bonus round where they watched the improvisers make up a whole musical based on an audience suggestion. At its conclusion they were directed to give the musical a one-word title - something catchy and fitting like "Oklahoma!" or "Cats!" All they had to do to win was match titles with the show's host, who also branded the musical with a one-word title.
When all was said and done, the happy couple walked away with the grand prize valued at $100.00!!!!!! Some of the credit though goes to the audience who, through some group mind mental exercise was able to 'help' the host come up with the matching answer.
All that fun and excitement is part of every edition of You Bet Your Asterisk, now showing at SAK every Friday and Saturday at 10pm. The prize won't be as fabulous as the Special Valentines show, but it'll still be awesome. In fact, every night, one lucky contestant will have a chance to win a cash prize valued at over $68.42!!!! And that contestant could be you!
