"The Island"
Does anyone else think there's something terribly wrong with Scarlett Johansson and Ewan McGregor, both very good actors and indie darlings who have done groundbreaking films, headlining a Michael Bay blockbuster? And in the stills I've seen and previews, they look so Hollywoodized. What happened to the Ewan of "Brassed Off," "Little Voice," "A Life Less Ordinary" and even "Moulin Rouge"? What happened to the Scarlett of "Lost in Translation" and "Ghost World"?
Can anyone say sellout?
*sigh* I still love Ewan, though. But if they're just going to do crap movies from now on, I'm losing respect for both of them as actors.
I still have my Kate Winslet. And she went on from "Titanic" to actually do good indie movies. And some bad ones. But she's still true to herself.
