I bought a new book to study for my oral exam. It offers various questions that can be asked of me during my check ride and on the written or oral exams. Last night i finished up my night and instrument hour requirements. I flew the geneseo vor with foggles and then intercepted a victor airway to buffalo. i used that to get me to genessee county and landed based on the vectors that my instructor gave me. the landings i did were very interesting. its hard to tell your altitude at night and the lights ( Read more... )

Today I got my public policy paper back. I got the grade that I wanted and expected. However, I am disappointed to reflect on an assignment we had at the beginning of the year on plagiarism and seeing how it didn't stick with everyone. today I flew to Dunkirk again. Since the weather was too bad for me to solo, we used the time to do instrument work. I had to wear goggles that prevent me from seeing outside, all I can see are the instruments. It was a different experience. They gave me a headache. haha. Today I flew to Dunkirk Airport near Fredonia. It was my first time flying during the actual night rather than what is known as civil twilight. It was more difficult to fly because Im used to flying visually, and the visibility is reduced at night. it was a lot of fun though. i can taste that certificate already.

Today I got to fly again. I went to Genesee County with Bill. From there he let me fly alone wherever I wanted. I took my plane up north to see the lake. Today was the final exam for my ATC class. There is only one more week left. Im pretty sure I did well on the test. At least in the 90s. I studied very hard all week and deserve a good grade for this class. I nailed the questions about aircraft recognition. I have to sign up for a class to take this summer, I mite take one online.

Last night I started flying again. Its a shame that Ive lost so much time. Nevertheless, all the rust was shaken out of me and I'm back and better than ever. This weekend the Rochester Wings put on its annual safety seminar. These are very beneficial and this chapter has been getting a lot of recognition on them recently. Since there are 15 weeks of this class and there are only 2 left, it seems that I have forgotten to record a couple occasions. Recently I have learned how to land at major airports (which I already knew.) I also learned about special vfr which is something I wont need to know until I am instrument rated.
