I Suck at Updating

May 21, 2006 13:22

So, it's been over a month since my last update. I don't have any real news. The job is going fine. I just wish sometimes that there weren't so many damn claims being filed each day. Geez people sure sue a lot in this country. My birthday is in three days, but that doesn't really make much of a difference. I don't have any plans other than to go see the new X-Men movie. Otherwise, it'll just be business as usual.

OK, now for why I'm enraged. On April 18th, it was the last day of the ADV Easter anime sale. I ordered Get Backers v.1 w/art box, Get Backers v.2, Get Backers v.3, & Get Backers v.5 (I bought v.4 at Suncoast). I've now been waiting over a month and the DVDs still haven't gotten here yet. It doesn't take that long for something from Texas to get to Maryland. I know this because I've ordered from ADV before. I know they said it would take 1-4 weeks due to high sales volume, but this is ridiculous. As if their sales volume would be that high. Where is my stuff?! I've tried calling ADV's customer service line to see if they've at least shipped it (because they don't send you shipping confirmations with tracking numbers the way most online stores do), but everytime I try, I get a message saying that customer service is not available. I've called them like 4 times! I get that message every time! It's annoying the hell out of me. Today, I even tried submitting an internal email using their site, but I keep getting some stupid error message! I will NEVER order ADV anime directly from them again! It's too much of a hassle!

Another thing that's starting to annoy me is that May 12th, I order some yaoi manga, an Ichimaru Gin keychain, and a random Bleach figure from justmanga.com. I guess my order's total wasn't high enough for priority shipping to be cheaper, so I went with USPS Ground this time (I usually do USPS Priority because it's only about $9). They shipped my keychain and figure separately from my manga. Somehow, the keychain and figure got here before the manga did, but they were delivered to a post office in Cali on the same day! Where is my yaoi?!

This is why I hate having to use USPS for shipping.
