Marching Band 2008-2009 Memorial Day Parade

Anyways, today was the last performance I would do in the marching band this year until band camp starts off next year with our new show entitled "Flight."
With it being almost the end of May, it's really HOT outside, causing negative effects on the band. We were tired from a long time of marching and playing anon, and eventually, we reached the endpoint of the parade route. There was food and water there but we were not to touch it until the end of the ceremony. However, we left after the playing of the US national anthem due to a band member near collapsing from heat exhaustion.
Though hellish, we still found fun in the parade as many people in town we knew were there. Upon arriving back at the school, we handed in our uniforms (jacket, trousers, garment bag, and parka), flip-folders and lyres.
It's the end of the season, and I can't wait for next year.
