Marching Band 08 Parade 1
So today we got out of school for a few hours to march in another town's Veteran's Day parade. In short, it was pretty enjoyable.
At first we were just warming up in a different area near the starting point of the parade. Then while percussion was coming up with alternations of cadence, my section leader told us a thing to do along with it. So while marching down the parade route, the color guard and trumpet section did some fun stuff while playing a cut version of Fantasmic! Part 1, and a piece made by a friend of our director.
Afterwords, a speech from the Mayor during the ceremony following the parade with a 21 gun salute (which startled all Freshmen band members) and a soloist playing "taps"
