Flaps Done; Big Snag

I got quite a bit of stuff done this weekend, including the start of the sad dismantling of the first completely sleeve. I finally decided that it was too fat for my arms and that I'd look really stupid with a form fitting body area and really bigass sleeves. really? after all the effort you put into it too! did it turn out to be too much of a hassle in the end? (btw, my boyfriend knew what it was from just a glance, so you did something right! ;p)

my mother-in-law made me a lovely costume for an upcoming convention, even although we don't speak the same language. :)
i'd have tried to make it myself, but i don't own a sewing machine. :p

I messed up the top of the sleeve and couldn't get it to connect to the body piece well. I don' tknow enough about sewing to fix it. lol

don't get rid of it, it looks good! i'm sure you can find a way of fixing it in the future. ^^

and if worst comes to the worst, you have good costume materials for your kids for conventions/halloween/dress up as a book character days at school. :p
