Don't worry man. Don't get upset about it. No need to pop blood vessels over it. Live your life how you believe it to be lived, and let them wallow in the squandor of passivity, accomplishing nothing of any eternal significance. Don't worry about what they think, because time will show that those who were willing to stick their neck out and risk to do something controversial will be those who will actually accomplish something with their life.
By the way, I'm with you on the not hating Americans thing. I wish Canadians were as passionate as Americans. But we're not. We want to be everyone's buddy and be on everyone's good side, rather than standing up for truth and stepping on toes in the process. We wouldn't want to bruise a toe or two now, would we?? So quite frankly, in many ways I think Americans are better than Canadians. That, and I have vested interests... ;o)
Anyway dude... don't let it get you down. Don't listen to the naysayers who mock you for being the politically incorrect and controversial person you are. After all... that's who Jesus was.
