Keepin' it Real

I noticed there were open job interviews in an email that got sent to me. That's what I get for infrequently checking my job emails. I read the email a few days late, but luckily there are going to be interviews on Friday too.

I got an interview for another place, but it's at a faraway mall. I tried to go to that mall months ago and was late to the interview for a different company. Too bad too they were hiring at much closer mall, and I really wanted to work for them because I really like and believe in what they sell.

It's strange that a certain chain of Halloween stores is hiring. Why? Is there something wrong with them? Why are they looking for people now? Did a bunch of people quit or something? Halloween season is in full season.

My dad is upset because the Dodgers got knocked out of the playoffs. Well the Angels did a few days before and even worse they were swept.

The president is naming the San Gabriel Mountains a national monument. I'm not sure how I feel about this though. What does it really mean? I mean locally. Aside from the fact that I'm a geography nerd. And will there be a state quarter commemorating this?

I've been distracted by my writing, and I feel like Elaine in the episode "The Van Buren Boys". It started off innocently enough. I was going to write about Halloween costumes. I wanted to keep it real. *hits chest, points and makes a kissy face* But after thinking about it and doing some research I think what I need is some overhaul to my writing. What I wrote isn't unuseable, it just needs a lot of work and was not in the direction I thought it would go. Too much vulnerability.
Here's a list of things in my bedroom:
bed
doll clothes
plush pikachu
radio
Sorry I will not buy bunion stories.

halloween, writing, employment, holidays, writer's block
