AN;; Updated a little bit later today because I had so much stuff to write. Plus, Big Bang’s mini album proved a good distraction. My favorite song is Cafe. Daesung’s voice is so gorgeous. And of course, my Taeyang bb is flawless :3

“Woohyun, turn on the air conditioning,” Dongwoo whined from the back seat. Woohyun opted for having all the windows down so he could feel the wind whipping through his hair.

“Why? The breeze isn’t good enough for you?” he called out from the front, glancing at his passengers in the rearview mirror. Sungyeol was slumped over to the side, passed out with his head in Myungsoo’s lap. Woohyun couldn’t help but laugh at the smug smile on Myungsoo face.

“Maybe if you and Hoya weren’t so tangled up in the backseat,” Woohyun said, squinting at them, “it wouldn’t be so hot.” Hoya rolled his eyes before sitting up and stretching his arms.

Sunggyu was asleep behind his large sunglasses. Woohyun glanced over at him from the corner of his eye, jumping slightly when Sunggyu jerked awake, rubbing his neck and groaning.

“Woohyun, put on some music,” Dongwoo whined again. Woohyun rolled his eyes before feeling around for his iPod on the seat divder next to him. He felt Sunggyu’s hands brush against his as he found it for him and plugged it in.

“Put the kareoke playlist on shuffle,” Woohyun said, glancing down for a second to turn up the volume. Sunggyu snorted as he scrolled through the list.

“Why are all of these songs girl group songs?” he asked before pressing the shuffle button.

“They’re not all girl group songs. They’re just... more fun to sing.” The intro to Tell Me started to play, making Hoya perk up in the back seat.

“Yeah! This is my jam!” Dongwoo, Hoya, and Woohyun started to dance to the song until Hoya started to sing. He stopped suddenly after a few lines, looking over the bench to see Sungyeol muttering the second verse in his sleep.

“Oh my god! He sings in his sleep!” Hoya fell back into his seat and started laughing. “I wonder what else we can get him to say in his sleep.”

Woohyun tapped his hands on the steering wheel to the beat of the song, singing a few lines here and there. Sunggyu watched him from his seat, a smile appearing onto his face. “You’re a pretty good singer,” he said.

“Thanks. I try.”

“You should hear him belt out that last note,” Dongwoo said in between lines. And the last note was beautiful indeed. Sunggyu found himself giving Woohyun a disbelieving look.

“What? If I didn’t have soccer, I’d probably be singing.” The song ended, and another familiar song started playing.

“Come on, Sunggyu. You have to sing this. Come on. Come on!” Sunggyu protested all the way through the beginning until the first verse started, then he gave in and sang along.

“Gee, gee, gee, gee, baby, baby, baby!” Myungsoo couldn’t help but laugh as the entire car sang along with the song. Sungyeol opened his eyes and sat up, making Myungsoo’s arm fall off of his shoulder.

“What in the world?” he asked sleepily. “Are we a boy group now?” The song continued and everyone sang. Even Myungsoo sang a line here and there.

After a few more songs, Sunggyu reached for the iPod and started to scroll through Woohyun’s music.

“Oh, hey. You have Big Bang’s new album already?” Sunggyu put the album on and sat back to listen to it.

“Yeah. Got it last night when it came out. I couldn’t sleep.”

“Didn’t know you were such a Big Bang fan.” Woohyun laughed.

“That’s not why I couldn’t sleep.”

--

Everyone was asleep again when Woohyun finally pulled into the driveway of the beach house. It was a little bit past noon now. Woohyun drove for almost five hours straight, making only one stop at a rest stop because Dongwoo had to pee.

Dongwoo and Hoya whooped as soon as they saw the beach and threw open the car doors before racing for the water. Woohyun watched them with exasperation.

“Sure guys! I’ll carry in your luggage for you! I didn’t just drive for five hours straight!” Woohyun yelled after them.

“Thanks, Woohyun!” Dongwoo yelled back, tackling Hoya into the sand.

“You asses! Why don’t you drive next time then?!”

“You’re the only one with a license!” Woohyun sighed before shaking his head.

Sungyeol and Myungsoo slipped out of the van, stretching their arms. Myungsoo squinted his eyes against the bright sunlight before scratching at his chest. Sungyeol kicked at the sand in his flip flops and smiled.

Woohyun hopped out of the driver’s seat after opening the trunk of the van. He saw Sunggyu limp over to him, swinging his cane in one arm. “I don’t even know why I brought this. The sand’s so uneven, it won’t do me any good.”

“You brought your knee brace, right?” Woohyun asked, handing Myungsoo and Sungyeol their bags.

“Leave the bags in the living room, and we can decide rooms after Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber get back,” Woohyun said as Sunggyu watched.

“Yeah, I brought it. Why do you let them treat you like that? You pay for everything, you drive. They take your food. What gives?”

“Well, that would be me doing all the giving, but they’re good friends when it comes down to it. Even if they’re LAZY AS HELL!” Woohyun shouted as he threw their bags onto the ground.

“Want some help with that?” Sunggyu asked, eyeing the bags left in the van. He assumed that they were all Woohyun’s.

“Yeah, sure. Take this inside.” Woohyun handed him the keys to the van.

“What? This is it?”

“Yeah. You didn’t think I was going to let you carry all these bags, did you?”

--

Dongwoo and Hoya came running into the house through the back door, completely out of breath.

“Alright, guys. There are three rooms, two people per room.”

“We’re sharing.” Dongwoo nudged Hoya, who ran forward to grab there bags and run into a room. Woohyun, Sungyeol, Sunggyu, and Myungsoo stared at each other.

“Uh... so how do we pick this? Rock, paper, scissors?” Sunggyu asked. Myungsoo and Woohyun caught each other’s eyes as Dongwoo took his place at the top of the group.

“Okay. Winner gets to choose a roommate.” Myungsoo mouthed the word ‘rock’ to Woohyun, who nodded slightly.

“Rock, paper, scissors!” Myungsoo, Woohyun, and Sunggyu all matched rock, leaving Sungyeol with scissors.

“Damn.” Sungyeol slumped down onto the couch and waited.

Myungsoo laughed, high fiving Woohyung. Hopefully, that was an obvious enough signal for what to play next.

“Rock, paper, scissors!” This time, Sunggyu was the odd one out, leaving Myungsoo and Woohyun left. Dongwoo looked suspiciously between the two before a smile appeared on his face. They were honestly taking Hoya’s advice.

“Rock, paper, scissors!” Woohyun groaned as he lost, but secretly jumped for joy on the inside.

“Okay. I guess... I’ll room with Sungyeol since we’re in the same grade. I can copy off of your homework or something,” Myungsoo said with a smirk on his face. Sungyeol blinked at him a few times before grinning. “What makes you think I’ve finished mine?”

“So I guess that leaves me and you,” Woohyun said, barely containing the happiness in his voice.

“Well, either way. There’s only two rooms left. A small one and a slightly bigger one.” Woohyun and Sungyeol stared at each other for a moment before scrambling for their things and running down the hallway, pushing at each other.

“What do you even need the bigger room for, I brought more stuff!” Woohyun said as they fought each other in the doorway. Sungyeol braced himself in the door frame and pushed back with his leg.

“That’s not my fault, now is it?” Sungyeol asked, laughed as Woohyun tried to shove his way inside. Sunggyu peeked into the room past Sungyeol and Woohyun before turning his head to look into the other room. He shrugged before walking into the other room, throwing his things onto the bed.

“Sunggyu! What are you doing? I’m trying to get us a better room!”

“This room has a bigger closet.”

“Oh.” Woohyun stopped pushing against Sungyeol, abruptly turning to walk into the other room. Sungyeol almost fell over from the sudden absence of pressure.

Myungsoo brushed by Sungyeol with his things, throwing them onto the bed. “So, I get the bed, and you get the floor right?”

“What? No. I get the bed,” Sungyeol said, whipping around.

“Why do you get the bed? I technically walked in here first.” Sungyeol scowled at him.

“Or we could share. You stay on your half, and I stay on mine.” Myungsoo smirked as he watched the cogs working in Sungyeol’s mind.

“Or... we could play rock, paper, scissors for it.” The two of them faced each other.

“And... rock, paper, scissors! DAMN IT,” Sungyeol yelled as he lost again.

“And it looks like you get the floor. I hope it’s comfy,” Myungsoo said. Woohyun saw him from the other room, giving him a ‘what are you doing?’ look. Myungsoo just smiled. He had a plan.

--

“Hurry up and unpack guys! I wanna get on the beach and into the water already,” Hoya called from the living room.

Woohyun worked as fast as he could, helping Sunggyu unpack his this before unpacking his own stuff. Sunggyu opened up his backpack and pulled something out, setting it down between the pillows on the bed.

“Is that... Is that the bear I got you from the hospital?” Woohyun asked, reaching over to pick it up.

“Yeah.”

“You still have it?” Woohyun asked, throwing it back and forth in his hands.

“Yeah. I don’t sleep so well without it.” A huge smile appeared on his face as he caught Sunggyu’s eyes.

“What?”

“That’s cute.”

“Yeah, yeah, yeah. Are you done? I wanna head out to the beach.”

--

The breeze at the beach was perfect. The air was slightly humid as Woohyun took in a deep breath. He’d missed the smell of the sea.

Sunggyu walked carefully in the sand, admiring the feeling of sand between his toes. Woohyun took his sandles off once they hit the sand and was swinging them back and forth while keep an eye on Sunggyu.

“Are you sure you’re okay with your cane and knee brace?” Woohyun asked, keeping his steps slow.

“I’ll be fine. Stop being such a mom.” Sunggyu laughed before settling down into the sand, legs out in front of him. He leaned back onto his hands to watch the waves break.

“The beach is nice,” Sunggyu said with a smile. Woohyun sat down next to him, burying his feet into the sand.

“Yeah. It’s a pretty nice place. Listen, I need to ask you something,” Woohyun said, turning to face Sunggyu. As he opened his mouth though, Dongwoo and Hoya came barreling through, picking him up and running towards the water.

“Damn it, PUT ME DOWN!”

“As you wish!” Dongwoo said gleefully. He and Hoya threw him into the water before running back to shore, whooping with laughter.

Woohyun let out a frustrated yell as he stood up, wiping his hair from his face. “One of these days! I’m going to kill the both you!”

“You have to catch us first!” They hopped back and forth taunting Woohyun until Woohyun trudged up from the water and started running after Dongwoo.

“Why is it always me?” Dongwoo yelled, running for his life.

“You’re slower!” Woohyun tackled Dongwoo from behind, sending the both of them to the ground. Woohyun got up first and grabbed Dongwoo’s leg before dragging him back towards the water.

“Hoya! Hoya! Save me!” Hoya laughed before settling next to Sunggyu, waving at his boyfriend.

“You’re so useless!” Dongwoo yelled as Woohyun dragged him into the water, shoving his head under.

“That’s what you get! I swear!” Woohyun kicked at the water. Sunggyu’s laughter rang out over the waves.

Hoya’s grin turned into a look of panic before he grabbed onto Sunggyu’s arm as Woohyun came after him. Woohyun stopped in front of them, dripping water and looking murderous.

“Hey, Hoya. Just a question. Are you ticklish?” Sunggyu asked, feigning innocence.

“What? Why?”

“He is.” Woohyun and Hoya spoke at the same time. Sunggyu reached over and jabbed him in the ribs, causing Hoya to yelp and let go of him, flinching away from him to hold his side.

Woohyun grabbed Hoya’s leg and dragged him halfway towards the water until Dongwoo came up and picked him up by the arms.

“What? Dongwoo! What are you doing?!”

“Payback.”

--

Myungsoo fell asleep underneath an umbrella on the beach. He watched Dongwoo, Hoya, and Woohyun fight for about half an hour until he got bored and laid down to take a nap. He knew he should’ve opened his eyes when he heard snickering.

When he came to again, he couldn’t move his body. Blinking groggily, he sighed as he saw the mound of sand on top of him, and Sungyeol carving something with a toy shovel.

“Are you serious? I sleep for like, half an hour, and you managed to bury me in sand?”

“Not only that, I carved you a fish tail.” Myungsoo lifted his head up to see said tail curl around, complete with scales carved in.

“Now, do you want big boobs, or small boobs?”

“Uh... how about pecs and a six pack?” Myungsoo let his head fall back down onto the sand.

“Small boobs it is.”

“Sungyeol, what are you- Oh my god. Hoya! Hoya! Look! Myungsoo’s a merman!”

“Mermaid,” Sungyeol corrected as patted on more sand to carve into breasts. Hoya jogged over, laughing. “Did anyone bring a camera?”

“Mine’s in the bag over there. Try not to get sand in it, or you’ll owe me a new one.” Hoya opened up Myungsoo’s bag and whistled as he pulled out an expensive professional camera.

“Jeeze, how much was this?”

“Ten years of my life.”

--

Sunggyu didn’t like the way Woohyun was grinning at him.

“What?” he said apprehensively.

“Nothing. Just. You’re pretty dry.”

“Don’t you dare,” Sunggyu said, narrowing his eyes at him.

“But Sunggyu!” Woohyun walked behind him and fell to his knees before wrapping his arms around Sunggyu. Sunggyu cried out before rocking from side to side. His cries quickly turned to laughter as Woohyun laid his head onto Sunggyu’s shoulder.

“So what were you going to ask me earlier?” Woohyun took a deep breath, letting go of Sunggyu so he could turn to face him.

“I was wondering... if...”

“Woohyun! We’re hungry!” Woohyun blinked a few times before hanging his head. “I’ll ask you later,” he said with a strained smile. He was going to kill someone.

“Oh. Okay. Sure.” Sunggyu suddenly felt something flutter in his stomach.

“I hate you guys! I swear! Can’t you do anything for yourselves?!” Woohyun yelled as he got up from the sand.

“No! Momma Woohyun! Gimmie some food!” Hoya laughed before punching Dongwoo in the arm. “Dude. That is so weird, don’t ever call him mom ever again.”

“You like it when I call you daddy.” Hoya flushed red as Sungyeol and Myungsoo cried out, clearly traumatized by the piece of information.

“Oh, god! My world!” Sungyeol said, burying his face into his hands.

“Your world?! I’m the one buried in the sand with a fish tail and boobs!” Myungsoo yelled.

“That’s not my fault. You fell asleep.”

“A lot of things aren’t your fault.”
