Hey, hey, heeeeeyyyy, f-list!
If anyone on my f-list has a microphone and is able to record over the computer. I NEED YOUR HELP.
Did I get anyone's attention? I hope so! ...This is rather last minute (because I had too much trouble trying to figure out what to do) and this project is due on Thursday, April 16. The project is to do something within an online community/world (ie. Second-Life, Twitter, Facebook, Warcraft). In this case, it's probably going to be LiveJournal and the VAA forums for me.
What I decided to do is try to get as many people as I can over the internets to sing the first Pokemon theme song. THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE ONE. FULL VERSION. I would have chosen an animu song or Rick Roll but everyone's probably tired of that. And I think most people would be able to recognize the Pokemon song.
You don't need to have any singing experience to do this. DO IT FOR FUN. DO IT ONE GO. SING HOWEVER YOU LIKE. All I ask of you is sing as closely in sync with the original song. Because I'm going to mix all the files together with karaoke to make it like a group song. 8D;
Anyways... interested? This is very short notice, I'm so sorry. ;_; I will be participating/SINGING in it myself.
1) Here is the Full Pokemon Theme and the the lyrics. Feel free to record with the song playing in the background-- but try to make the volume low enough so I don't have to do much audio editting.
2) It might be easier to record the background singer parts (the "ohhhhhs" and "gotta catch 'em all!") parts separately. XD;
3) When you're done, can you say your username/name and where you're from. Something short, like, "Joly. From California. Thanks for listening!" ... I'm going to insert that part at the end of the song. :D Like credits.
4) E-mail the file to miinipaa[at]gmail[dot]com (yes, new e-mail for this)
5) I prefer to have this by Tuesday or BEFORE Thursday because I'll need time to do the audio mixing.
I don't have anything to give in return for this assignment, except for everyone to listen to themselves in the final product on YouTube by Thursday since that's when it's due. orz; I'll be posting this on VAA and hopefully grab some interest there too. No one remembers me there asdkjl
