More Mishegos
I bet some of y'all are just salivating for me to post about the current 'controversy' over on the guild boards.
Guess what? I'm not gonna!
If I do, it's not going to be good, because what I want to post has nothing to do with Vel's original comments.
I just find it so ironic that a particular poster can whine about how 'snarky' I am to her about her youth and her shallowness and a few pages later, go on and on about how she 'tells it like it is' and for everyone to just put on their 'big girl pants'.
Can she even see the hypocracy in what she's saying?
If she didn't come off as this smug, all knowing little college girl (remember her comments to Celtink in the 'convention' thread along the lines of 'I can organize this because I've done this for my *sorority*'), I wouldn't be calling her on it now.
I think the problem is more of a generation gap anyway. The younger girls don't really remember the times we older women do -- when we had to be encouraged to wander away from what was considered 'acceptable' for a girl. They take so much for granted (or have I just watched 'Iron Jawed Angels' one time too many?) and can't, IMHO, appreciate the need to have a 'women only' area.
Ironic also, that the guys can have their 'Rogues only' area because they want to plan things in private, but we have to justify why some of us might want one. Well, here's a clue, boys -- we didn't question why you wanted a 'rogues only' area -- you have NO FUCKING RIGHT to even CARE why we want a 'wenches only' area. We can have it because we can have it, capiche?
And boys, the other problem I have with some of you who post on the Wenches board is that as soon as you register, you become fucking HIMBOS. You're just as bad as the women who go to the Rogues board for the express purpose of flinging out their virtual tits and saying 'here I am, boys!'
You don't post anything of substance. You flirt, you wink, you nudge nudge. But you don't converse, you thread hijack at any opportunity and you think you're being cute. You're not. You come across as being idiots. Act like men instead of panting dogs.
