Relief flood through him as he saw the parchment tied to Pig’s leg. He couldn’t get it off fast enough. As soon as he finished, Pig collapsed upon Ron’s bed. He had to pick his owl up and lay him in his cage.Tossing a few treats at his bird, Ron sat down with the parchment.

I love Pig - he's becoming one one of my favourite HP characters!

And poor Ron - he's going to have a rough time of it for a while, especially seeing Harry nd Ginny together.

Yeah, that's sort of bugged me that he'd be alone while Harry would, most likely, live at the Burrow for quite a while. And yes, I do love Pig, too.

that was fantastic. i loved it! your characterization of ron -- his passion (regardless of what he's feeling), how protective he is of hermione, everything -- is just lovely.
