Life, etc.

I should totally be catching up with end of the year paperwork, but have decided to blow it off for another half hour. Wow so much is going on right now!

First off, we are closing on a house within the next few weeks. We have been packing like mad, and just today it actually looks like we've accomplished something. The bedroom hasn't been touched yet, so that is my source of anxiety. It'll all come together. Thankfully we haven't had any trouble (knock on wood) with the apartments at all since we gave them our "break-up" letter. The people selling the house is a friend of E's dad, so they are being absolutely amazing. They are even going to let us start moving in before settlement. They are remodeling the house right now...actually I believe that they are done now, they are just cleaning out...but anyway, until it is ready we will be with my parents. So it will suck for a little bit, since we both will be out of school for the summer. E has a job with a karate school now along with his day job, so he is pulling in a mess of hours. I will be back at B&N for the summer, plus helping my mom and subsituting for summer school. We are both almost too excited. We can't wait to get out of this apartment. Don't get me wrong, it has been a GREAT place to live...well, except for the murder, domestic abuse, drug deals, fatal car accidents, etc, it's been GREAT! And we know that stuff will happen anywhere, and since we are moving into the city, I know it will most likely be the same. But the neighborhood we're moving into seems really nice. I know a lot of people in the area who give it good reports.

Other than that, just gearing up for the last few weeks of school. I am going to be a wreck the last day. My kids last year weren't that bad, but the kids this year were outstanding. To see how far they really came this year, and what great young people they are turning into, I just hope and pray they keep it up. I'll miss them!! BUT. There's a bit of a twist. Next year I am heading up to 5th grade. It was kind of a shock, since I've been doing 3rd grade GT for so long now. But, it makes sense. Now I will be getting my original kids AND my GT kids from this year (they are taking 5th grade classes). I will just be teaching math, which I love, so next year will be an experience. It will be a lot of work, but I won't be teaching all 7 subjects and I get different kids all day long. So...hold on to your hats!!

Okay, I think that catches me up. Blah. Now off to fill out paperwork :p
