Driving Six Crazies
Well, the family reunion weekend is now over, just one more trip to the airport.
I’ve spoken before about driving Miss Crazy, now suddenly there were six daisies
I was being enlisted to taxi the sisters and cousins between their B&Bs and here for
Dinners and sight-seeing. Now, I’m not a taximan, but I managed in the heavy traffic
To get the appropriate ladies safely to their destinies. For that is what it became, the
Last time they may ever see one another, being they are aging in their 70s and 80s
GF was wise to bring them together, being 15 years since they last visited one another.
So, I was driving six Miss Daisies, which drove me crazy, now I’m totally exhausted
And relieved they’re all heading back to their respective domains. Being a bachelor
I’m not really used to having six women mollycoddling me and telling me what to do.
I’m not used to all that attention, so I mostly laid low until I was summoned to drive.
Of course I was cordial and joined them for dinner, or sight-seeing, or barbecuing,
Small talk, lots of small talk, I’m all small talked out I think. Time for me to go to sleep.
Anyway, this meant a lot to GF and I fully support her making the effort and I did my best.
But man am I exhausted. Six women is too much all in one small space, I think.
Glad that’s ended. A good time was had by all, except for me, who is discombobulated.
Well, let’s see what this week brings, it’s supposed to be going into a heat spell.
