Documentary, from Sing Sing Thanksgiving, recorded in 1972 at the prison in Ossining NY outside of New York City.
David Hoffman got permission to present the concert from the Warden and took full of it to create and then record this
incredible event plus tell the lives of some of the inmates who helped make it happen. How much time do you got?
No one was sure that it would happen- that the prison guards or the state of New York would block it, although the warden
had given us permission. BB King came with his complete 26-piece band because he wanted to be there. It was a time when
prisons began allowing outsiders to perform. Johnny Cash had done this at Folsom Prison shortly before.
