A Gentleman Robin Murders a Worm
"A nod, a bow, the gent’s sequence repeats,
and then he murders every worm he greets!" - Spring Robin by okapi
via To 'murder the worm', German wurm, is that like St George slaying the dragon?
Anglo Aaxon, virim, meaning 'dragon or snake..'
April 23 was Saint George's Day : .

We had a flock of robins, about 20 traveling across the yard like a hoard,
fervently pecking for minutes, until they flocked away early this spring
It was a strange thing seeing that many in a bunch all at once. ~psp
I think this about sums it all up...

(anyway, here's the poem...)
Spring Robin by okapi :
A self-important little man is he,
that well-turned-out harbinger of spring.
How he hops about, immodestly
and, though implored, never deigns to sing!
His fine suit of gray fits him like a glove,
from head to tail, commanding attention,
but it’s his waistcoat that inspires spring love,
a fine breast of bespoke orange-crimson.
He goes on spindly legs advancing,
a sharp-tipped peck accompanies each step.
One might call his pascal progress dancing,
a solo reel, at which he’s most adept.
A nod, a bow, the gent’s sequence repeats,
and then he murders every worm he greets!
