Midlife crisis?!
What is this?

My parents had what they called “the seven year itch”. We moved every seven years. My dad changed jobs.
I ended up in new schools.

Our astrological clocks and numerology have cycles of repetitive alignments of energies every seven years,
which are called the "Saturn Return" - Below Venice Astrological Clock

Saturn is the planet of concentration, constancy, tangible rewards, perseverance, ambition, and productivity. This overseer planet also rules caution, delay, restriction, restriction, responsibility, rules and regulations, pain, fear, power, discipline, control, and denial.

It takes the planet Saturn to make one orbit around the Sun, roughly 29.5 years. When Saturn "returns" to the degree in its orbit occupied at the time of birth, a person crosses over a major threshold and enters the next stage of life.

With the first Saturn return, 27-31, a person leaves youth behind and enters adulthood. With the second return, 56-60, maturity. And with the third, 84-90, and usually final return, a person enters wise old age.

Life moves in 7 year cycles. It takes approximately 7 years for all the cells in our body to be renewed. One Saturn Return is approximately four of these 7 year cycles. This is also known as "the seven year itch".

Significant changes to our character occur in these cycles, 7 years old, we become self-aware. 14 years old, we come into puberty. 21 years we achieve adulthood. By 28 years we are in our stride beginning our career focus, possible to raise a family. We begin to be serious about becoming mature and gaining knowledge. We now come to approximately 28 or 29.5 years. 30 years old, half way through life is the first great change, self-analysis, reconciliation we experience. We assess what we have accomplished and what we have yet to accomplish. This may either strengthen, or change our focus at this point. This was our first midlife crisis.

Age 35, we are at our peak physically, and begin to change metabolism. Our energy of youth begins to dissipate and we learn to "work smart, not hard." We begin to seek wisdom based on our experiences. And age 42, we are at our peak of living our full life with the vigor of youth and the wisdom we have gained by experience.

After seven cycles, when we turn 50 (49), we go through a turbulent period. We review our lives, knowing that a lot of time has already passed, and there is not much time left. We attempt to regret who we are, what we did. Or we fully embrace our power. This was our second "midlife crisis".

Some will revisit the days of youth now to be able to afford the things which we dreamed in youth. Find a new "hot" girlfriend, buy the Porsche we always wanted, build something stylish, new home, new business, something that give us prestige. It is our will to achieve.

Those who have not achieved self-satisfaction, may become disgruntled, reactive, vindictive, bitter, to act out our disappointment.

So, at significant times in our lives, more or less, we make changes, reassess our strategies, choose alternative directions, or strengthen our pathways and carry on. This is what I meant.

This helps explain the influence of Saturn.

To understand ourselves fully, we are required to "do the math". Does the Saturn cycle for us add up?
