The Effects Of Covid

The Lockdowns Begin To Play Games With Our Minds

I remember when covid just began, and after 3 months of lockdowns of 2 weeks to flatten the curve,
the farmers street market opened in the height of spring.

Attending the street fair with my artist friend, we couldn't help but notice the young ladies scantily clad in summer fare.
without stupid masks, to which my response became "spring fever". I couldn't take my eyes off of them!

As I strained my next switching back and forth following their sway, I said to my friend, "I feel like a convict who's
just been let out of jail, I want to make love to all the ladies today." Which a lady overheard from a booth nearby,
smiling from ear to ear. My friend saw her and said, I'm under surveillance, and maybe I should be careful what I say.
To which the lady replied with a big smile as we stood there like deer in the headlights, unsure what to do next..
So, I just looked into her eyes and smiled back and sighed...

I remember when I was 16, the first time I went with a friend to the city in summer, I nearly got whiplash.
I never thought there were so many beautiful girls in the world, let alone in my world, and tired myself out,
trying to make eye contact with each one that passed by, to which I was oblivious to my friend who accompanied me,
as he said something like, "You aren't listening to me, are you?" - "What?" I answered, and we just kept walking
and exploring the downtown like a country boy in Urban Cowboy where everything was new and exciting and surreal.

Happy Spring Equinox!
