It seems I've now been reduced to replacing light bulbs on our rundown vehicle

Our van is 25 years old and still running, but getting parts is a nuisance, one might say, a creative experience... most vehicle bulbs today are bright halogen, migraine blinding laser devices intended to take out the oncoming vehicles, blinding in a flash. I was looking for good old universal 1156 and 1157 bulbs from 30 years ago, to fix a tail light or signal, and a 9003 headlamp bulb.
As well as the bulb on my desk lamp at my 'puter.
