GFs family has been ordered to evacuate their homes in Yellowknife as of today. They are driving down here
until things cool off, if there will be anything left to go home to...

So hard to fathom. :o
We were supposed to have a couple of days of heavy smoke from the fires, but it got windy and that kept things fairly clear. :o

so, they arrived saturday
word is they may be here for 3 or 4 weeks!
