Beltane translates to "bright fire," and the holiday is appropriately celebrated with a large bonfire.
Camping is also popular at Beltane, as well as dancing and, in the olden days, courtship rituals.
It's common to dress and doll up, especially with flower crowns and the color green, and to stay up
all night on the Eve of Beltane to see the sunrise on actual Beltane.
