Novemberance Day - (Nov 11 out here in hinterland...) - Poeme

Happy upon poppy, a rose is a bloody rose… On the first second,
of the 11th minute of the 11th hour of the 11th day, of the 11th month
of 911, we are bloody red yet once again, in our revelries, not to remember War
but to create Peace with a capital ‘F’ for “forgiveness”. A few days after
Dylan Thomas died... (9 November 1953)

We gather together with our families, Four generations of fresh offspring
lest we forget, in our long memories of how we came to be here…
Those old fellas, who fought for freedom from oppression, stand against tyranny
Then through recession, pulled up from our disparity, Remember…
the fallen, for those who remember have also fallen, as we shall befall them.
Now a whole new crop of sons are dying and dying we shall greet them
under a dying sun; Do not go gentle into that dark, knight; Rage! Rage! Rage!
Against the dying of the light…

On second thought, the second second, outside of the vacuum of space and time,
from the 11th dimension of the event horizon, from the dust bowls of America, to the
Arab rites of spring, through the oligarchic winters of our discontent and
summers of our Love in Haight, at Ashbury we bury the ashes of those
who have passed,

Purple haze, the dark ages, new wave and the new age, Rage! Rage! Rage!
Against the dying of the light… psp
