Lonely People (poem)

OMG, it's proper summer sunny today! Had a nice sit in the sun with a perfect espresso macchiato!
Overheard the following...

We try to find external stimuli to cover our alibis
Something to stimulate our fancies
or awaken our tendencies
that may fulfill our lives,
so we tend to lasciviate over latté
engaged in a query, stuck in our study
of motives, curious votives,
a quandary of recent movies,
out in public talking private,
we seek to explain
how we want our lives to prevaricate
learning this is all just a fantasy,
wishful thinking…
Suddenly, she has to leave,
remembers she left a cake in the oven,
They part ways, promise to text
and meet again some other day.
He says, thank you for coming,
She says, pleasure to meet you.
He is old and grey. She was looking for
something more youthful with money
He was looking for an easy lay.
Hoosier daddy? He's old enough
to be your pappy!
Maybe they should be soliciting
an escort service, to make
their dreams come true
instead of swimming
with plenty of fish
for chat and brew ~psp
