Can summer heat melt your valuable vinyl collection?
[Spoiler (click to open)]"A typical vinyl record can start warping due to heat at a temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit (60 degrees Celsius) and can melt at temperatures exceeding 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius)
1. Don’t leave your records out of the sleeve naked in the sun during a hot day. They will warp, you eventually will be able to roll them like a pancake. 2. Don’t leave your records in your car in the sun. The temperature in a car can get very high and even without direct sunlight your records risk getting warped.
