Microshit Software
I just got off the phone with fucking piece of shit Microsoft.
I purchased MS Office suite with lifetime on my Macbook 7yrs/ago for which I then paid $275 CDN.
When I updated my system, it surpassed the version of MS and would no longer create and save documents.
It defaulted to "read only". I talked with MS tech and they said, there is no alternative, but to purchase the new
MS 365 for 2020 either monthly for $150 CDN per year, or purchase the one time Home version for $200 CDN.
I have been doing MS workarounds to their piece of shit software for 25 years. I'm fucking sick of it.
There is no backwards compatibility after a certain point. Same with Mac OS. You update, you fucked!

So, aside from Excel and Powerpoint docs which are corporate rat shit, I did find out that I can open .docx in Pages on Mac. Not sure how it edits yet, but at least I can read them. And I think it saves to .docx f I need to send it to someone who is using Microshit. I need to experiment a bit to see what the full deal is, but as of now I told MS to fuck themselves and I'm not using their piece of shite software from this day forward. Who knows? Maybe I'll be less stressed and happier for it. They blocked my account after I told them off. I also told them that Bill Gates is a pedophile and needs to shove his vacc up his ass. He invented the first virus, called Windows. He stole the format from Apple like the decrepit lying stealing dick he is.
I hesitate to dump my old version software in case it loses the .docx format decoder. Or needs some extraneous file to recognize the document type. Although, I'm tempted to just fucking trash the whole package.
Years ago the same happened with Adobe when they went to monthly fees that annually equate the old cost of the entire graphics suite! That amounts to about $1800 CDN/ year. I haven't used fucking Photoshop since. I purchased a product called Pixelmator 7 years ago for about $50 and aside from some third party filters and text distort, I've managed with it. I fired Adobe, and now I've fired MS. So fuck Big Tech.
