What Tegan and Sara Are Up To
I've had the pleasure to have been linked with Tegan and Sara friends page, but only lately did I see this interesting bling beyond blithering rhetoric of school girl pop. I must say I admire your process. My friend pages are full of your fan dialogue. Should I go or should I stay? Eskimo people, I salute you! Have to catch Toronto street scene...
Street Scene 2008 ~ from Nature Song
"I was reading the newspaper (San Diego Union Tribune) earlier this morning when I came across an article about Street Scene. As I was reading I found that they did an article with a photo and mini clip about Tegan and Sara. I thought I would share it."
The title of the article is, "The 'don't-miss' list"
Tegan and Sara (North Fulana Stage, 7:35 p.m.): The Mighty Quin Canadian twins are in amazing indie harmony, like an angular Simon & Garfunkel mad about a breakup. Tegan and Sara Quin's songs and sentiments are worth of "This American Life": The throbbing guitar and synths on their fifth album, "The Con," sizzle underneath punkpy pop vocals and a tough girl chic just down the road a bit from The Runaways. They've toured with The Killers, played Coachella, had the White Stripes cover their song "Walking With a Ghost," and one were a beatific vision on Showtime's "The L Word." *Needs a couple more verses, but a good start and a catchy riff that is promising demo tape. I want to see what these identical twins have to say when they finally grow up. Just add emotion!!!! OK. For example, I can't wait until you learn how to do this with a real song...
