It is hard to think that when Paris was young, she was a walking doll...
Paris is not a Ballerina
It is possible given her namesake that Paris was conceived by her Hilton father somewhere in a hotel in France... ca. 1956 Paris Nadia Walking Ballerina doll, 18" tall, hard plastic slim body, rooted blonde hair, jointed at neck, shoulders, hips, knees and ankles, dressed in a white ballerina tutu with ballerina slippers and ribbon ties. Doll is unmarked.
The box side flap reads: The original walking ballerina doll with jointed knee and ankle, Pat. Pend, by Paris Doll Corp, New York. In 1957 Horsman Doll company produced this same doll under their own label, having recently acquired the Paris Doll company.

Mademoiselle De Paris is one of the first creations of Lady Sylviane Heirloom Dolls. Mademoiselle De Paris has blond hair and is dressed in a fashionable costume. Her skirt and blouse re made of a beautiful fuchsia fabric, covered with crystal rhinestones. The cape and sleaves have beautiful pink marabou feather. The belt is accented with beads and stones. She stands 18" tall with a porcelain head, hands, and legs. The doll has Lady Sylviane's signature and is hand numbered on the back-Limited Edition # 001/010. A stand, hang tag, and Certificate of Authenticity are included. link
