The Smoking Chimp is Going Organic for Today's Reefer Madness
The first thing I want to say is that there is so much great music out there! It surely is a renaissance, barely able to keep up with it.
It seems to disappear from Youtube almost as constantly as it appeared. Bandcamp is a great new platform for new independent artists, with great music!
Any time I do not spend listening to and collecting music, I spend writing and sketching my thoughts and observations. It is as if time has sped up.
This blog is a result of the hyper speed at which we live in western pop culture, it is all we can do to copy and paste just in an attempt to catch up to it.
Some days I feel completely overwhelmed by it all. Don't even start talking politics or religion. That really puts the icing on the cake. And yes, you can have your cake and eat it too. Enjoy!

The problem with dreamwidth is that in spite of crossposting to LJ it only allows comments on dreamwidth. Also unlike LJ the image insert is not absolute to a scrapbook, but requires an on line url to embed. I also noticed that LJ html stopped recognizing width/height on photos and always displays them at original size, whatever the file contains. So I'm going to start using a 'cut' to not block the feeds for friends. Just click to view pic.
I just noticed LJ is allowing hashtags in the tags section of out posts using # symbol precedes the tag followed by one or more keywords. Using the symbol in your text confuses the post into think no.1 should be a link or something.
LJ just changed the share option to auto post so that WYSIWYG no selective posting. Live with it.
Maybe this isn't as bad as it looks.
LJ autopost doesn't work on old entries to bring them forward, such as from my archive 2011, wanting to repost something, I need to begin from scratch.
So here's the thing, if I would like to share and refer to a specific aspect of another post, the LJ share only establishes a
link to that in my LJ wall. I may want to omit something to protect the friend or add something to give more information to the post
on my feed. The auto setting means that other shared posts are broadcasting on my home page. It's strange, because it no longer makes
the experience of journaling exclusive, but collective. It's like open chat live reactive rather than thoughtful and responsive. Interesting
concept if you think about it. I'm not certain what effect it has on others. A number of friends have become fed up and blocked contact
with others in their comment settings.Last Christmas was the major exodus to dreamwidth. Unfortunately when that happens there's no method
to contact the person, since they block emails as well. I can understand how people can get overwhelmed with too much information.
I do. Mostly I use this as an idea repository to note and share ideas with others. Once communication stops, however, people leave LJ,
some want privacy, others conflict with one another, everything freezes. I have to say there have been so many changes in the past decade,
from friends and family aging to becoming ill or dying. Loss. Exodus from LJ to Facebook, dreamwidth, twitter and other social networks
that may or may not feed into LJ. Now with NSA monitoring of bandwidth, it seems like everything is fragmenting. There is less and less

I've tried a bunch of proprietary formats, originating with Geocities (gone), myart.com (gone), yahoo, google plus, cananda.com (gone), flavors.me (gone), googleplus.com (gone) Facebook kicked me off more than 10 times.
Although my profiles have been lost, https://gothic.com.ua/, has been resurrected for Ukraine! These are no longer my people...
I used to have 3 web sites displaying my art portfolio, they've all but shut down their servers or the service providers have been sold off
and all my content wiped out. What little I have remaining is on FB which buries it in history. I'm pretty much done with the internet
for anything but communicating with friends. It's a useless waste of time for any other purpose. Sucking all your cash for half ass
goods and services made in China grove.
Google search also has become so term specific that if you don't check all the browser settings allowing or not allowing suggestions
from Google's trojan spyware, it won't give you any results. Up comes the message stating "Your search could not be found". It used report
millions of pages found rated in order of relevance, now you don't even get one if it doesn't fit the term exactly. Yahoo, Bing and Google
are for mainstream interests. The dark web is intriguing, but you can get lost and waste a lot of time there.
I've noticed Youtube becoming more commercialized by the day with unwanted ads and suggested material to watch, but I never asked for it!
Youtube is losing content and channels rapidly probably due to some corporate music copyright capitalist profit motive that isn't
even serving the artists because they will never get heard. I go to bandcamp.com now to find most of the bands I hear about. Most of the
proceeds from BC go to the artist. Unlike Gootube who captures all the profit from charging both content owner and advertiser for content.
There is such lame shit on YT now that I can't even browse it, since it makes me want to vomit. Most of my music posts were once YT, I'm

Here's my two bits, I stayed with LJ in 2016 when the servers moved to Ukraine,
I made the transition to dreamwidth back then to compare, but DW isn't anywhere near the ability of LJ
Two things have developed since, one is the Russia Ukraine conflict has visibly escalated into war
I have no knowledge of what role LJ plays in this regard. The servers have been there since 2016
We can only imagine it is monitored by some entity or other, Russian or worse..
CCP China just purchased tiktok, so ain't that a kick in the head!

The problem with dreamwidth is that in spite of crossposting to LJ it only allows comments on dreamwidth. Also unlike LJ the image insert is not absolute to a scrapbook, but requires an on line url to embed. I also noticed that LJ html stopped recognizing width/height on photos and always displays them at original size, whatever the file contains. So I'm going to start using a 'cut' to not block the feeds for friends. Just click to view pic.
I just noticed LJ is allowing hashtags in the tags section of out posts using # symbol precedes the tag followed by one or more keywords. Using the symbol in your text confuses the post into think no.1 should be a link or something.
LJ just changed the share option to auto post so that WYSIWYG no selective posting. Live with it.
Maybe this isn't as bad as it looks.
LJ autopost doesn't work on old entries to bring them forward, such as from my archive 2011, wanting to repost something, I need to begin from scratch.
So here's the thing, if I would like to share and refer to a specific aspect of another post, the LJ share only establishes a
link to that in my LJ wall. I may want to omit something to protect the friend or add something to give more information to the post
on my feed. The auto setting means that other shared posts are broadcasting on my home page. It's strange, because it no longer makes
the experience of journaling exclusive, but collective. It's like open chat live reactive rather than thoughtful and responsive. Interesting
concept if you think about it. I'm not certain what effect it has on others. A number of friends have become fed up and blocked contact
with others in their comment settings.Last Christmas was the major exodus to dreamwidth. Unfortunately when that happens there's no method
to contact the person, since they block emails as well. I can understand how people can get overwhelmed with too much information.
I do. Mostly I use this as an idea repository to note and share ideas with others. Once communication stops, however, people leave LJ,
some want privacy, others conflict with one another, everything freezes. I have to say there have been so many changes in the past decade,
from friends and family aging to becoming ill or dying. Loss. Exodus from LJ to Facebook, dreamwidth, twitter and other social networks
that may or may not feed into LJ. Now with NSA monitoring of bandwidth, it seems like everything is fragmenting. There is less and less

I've tried a bunch of proprietary formats, originating with Geocities (gone), myart.com (gone), yahoo, google plus, cananda.com (gone), flavors.me (gone), googleplus.com (gone) Facebook kicked me off more than 10 times.
Although my profiles have been lost, https://gothic.com.ua/, has been resurrected for Ukraine! These are no longer my people...
I used to have 3 web sites displaying my art portfolio, they've all but shut down their servers or the service providers have been sold off
and all my content wiped out. What little I have remaining is on FB which buries it in history. I'm pretty much done with the internet
for anything but communicating with friends. It's a useless waste of time for any other purpose. Sucking all your cash for half ass
goods and services made in China grove.
Google search also has become so term specific that if you don't check all the browser settings allowing or not allowing suggestions
from Google's trojan spyware, it won't give you any results. Up comes the message stating "Your search could not be found". It used report
millions of pages found rated in order of relevance, now you don't even get one if it doesn't fit the term exactly. Yahoo, Bing and Google
are for mainstream interests. The dark web is intriguing, but you can get lost and waste a lot of time there.
I've noticed Youtube becoming more commercialized by the day with unwanted ads and suggested material to watch, but I never asked for it!
Youtube is losing content and channels rapidly probably due to some corporate music copyright capitalist profit motive that isn't
even serving the artists because they will never get heard. I go to bandcamp.com now to find most of the bands I hear about. Most of the
proceeds from BC go to the artist. Unlike Gootube who captures all the profit from charging both content owner and advertiser for content.
There is such lame shit on YT now that I can't even browse it, since it makes me want to vomit. Most of my music posts were once YT, I'm
thinking of switching to Vimeo next. And bandcamp has an embed feature so I've been using it.

Here's my two bits, I stayed with LJ in 2016 when the servers moved to Ukraine,
I made the transition to dreamwidth back then to compare, but DW isn't anywhere near the ability of LJ
Two things have developed since, one is the Russia Ukraine conflict has visibly escalated into war
I have no knowledge of what role LJ plays in this regard. The servers have been there since 2016
We can only imagine it is monitored by some entity or other, Russian or worse..
CCP China just purchased tiktok, so ain't that a kick in the head!
After all the censorship on youtwitface, YT google twitter and FB, what's left?
I've mostly been checking out rumble bitchute telegram and others
