Spare the Rod
Perhaps, at midnight I began,
Leaping out of bed like a man
Like so many animated beasts,
To charge as if a bull tormented,
By our incomprehensible waste
From the mount' of great Babylon!
Let them fill the swamps!
Primal screams from afar
nothing scares me now.
But there are those among us,
Where are they now? - Atlas, burned.
Quietly stood upon the Hill
Satan stood there with him still
Oh my rod! How come I want you?
How I want to come to you!
And herein beat the heart of love,
excited to show all fear
that I am Lord and ruler overall.
Animal, plant, mineral, clouds, rivers
As above, so below, from the constellations fall
From the highest bell tower pours
the blood of sacrifice, both love and fear - dr. pi
