update on jedi
so i know i said i wouldnt be around much, and i'm really kinda not. but 2 things...
i'm gonna burst jedi's bubble since hes working everyday this week, during normal business hours *gasps at his 9-6 hours like a normal human being!* lol so in his absence, i will tell you whats going on. for the next 2 months, he will now be full time!! woot!!! working 5 days a week, all in lego!!!! lego has a section at TRU, called pick-a-brick. most have heard of this. maybe not tho. you basically pick out bricks by the piece- there are several pieces and colors you would not find in normal playsets- and you fill up a bag and make sure it zips close now- and then pay 20 bucks for this small bagfull. so whatever. anyway- he is now in charge of this small pick-a-brick area. and apparently is actually being paid by lego, thru TRU, in order to offset the full-time status! woohoo! so this first week back from vacay is a kick in the pants cuz he immediately started the 8 hour day on monday. does this thru thursday and then works sat. so he had sunday and will have fri off this week. crazy!!!! but very cool. now he has a meeting with his mgrs. tomorrow to get more/all of the details about his new work and sched and possible raise even. oooh :) so we'll see what that brings. cuz as of now, its only thru the holiday that hes full time. so hes hoping tho, that this is more permanent than just the 2 months. so we'll see what happens. oh and his favorite thing, he gets a little foot stool to every once in awhile, SIT! ooooh aahhhh! lol so now he can sit when hes starting to feel crappy in the ankles/feet areas. he's not supposed to sit all the time and he doesnt. so its good... today he had to refill and rearrange a lot of the pick-a-brick bins. so hes not thrilled. but it's nice that its full time and that he might get a raise and MIGHT actually end up working for lego in the long run if he plays his cards right... one can only hope!
ok 2nd good news. i never win anything. well a few months ago, i kinda went crazy and was entering all these contests for a free disney vacation- cruises and/or land pkgs. well, no i didnt win the grand prizes of the vacations, but i did win a basket of stuff from the disney cruiseline!!! wooohoo!! so i responded to the email in like august. called them up to be sure it was all legit. and they said in a couple months i should get the basket- they were still waiting on a couple items to put in them... so voila! yesterday, we came home and on the doorstep, was our box!!! lemme tell you, i kept pulling stuff outta that gift basket!! i thought i was done and then more stuff! yipes! i got two sets of glasses, one rock glasses, one more champagne style, a frisbee, a beach towel, a totebag, a picnic set- which came in a nice canvas thing with a stainless steel thermos and 2 stainless steel cups and 2 small containers, and the napkin and spoons; a picture frame- 8x10!, a dinsey cruiseline plaque, 2 containers for the water- you put credit cards and such in it while u swim- it closes so water cant get in, the container it all came in was a carryall- but cooler size, a mens watch, and a goofy plush doll 12" in his sailer outfit. its all worth apparently about 600 bucks!!! lordy! it was crazy!!! i've never won anything like that in my life! it was a great surprise coming from vacation... brightened up my night. :) my parents said it was disney bday present to me hahah they're funny :P
