Russ Roberts solo, ruminating on Ricardo and the emergence of trade networks. The content is totally basic Economics 101 level, but Russ is a nice and sharp guy, and so a pleasure to listen to (although he has apparently forgotten that Nepal is a landlocked country).
The root issue Russ is trying to address is: If you are so smart, why are you so poor?
The punchline, which I like so much, is: Self-sufficiency is the road to poverty.
