Altered Noise presents the FALLING FROM AUTUMN tour
Metro Theatre - The Lair
Fri. 28th of April

THE-STRANGE seem to only ever play at The Lair/Transit Lounge at the Metro Theatre. Maybe that's because they always use magnificent images on a projection screen and "The Lair" caters to that need and other venues don't. The images and words are different every time, though as far as I can tell, the songs are the same (although they might not be). Anyhow, it all works well and is something magnificiently dark and entertaining.

Mz Ann Thropik made a transformation overnight, visually at least. Singer, Magdalena, and bass player, "Tigrr" Brad, not only swapped clothes from the performance of the previous night with Brad in full drag (including underwear) and Magdelena wearing pants. But also changed hair-do's, with Brad now the one with pink hair and Magdalena's hair cropped short.
The set started off with a fairly slow light, yet dark, number. Refurbished old songs like "Monster Girl", "Stain" and "Kittie's Ran Away" were played alongside new songs such as the soon to be released single "Sweet Love Beat". "Off with your Head" ended the set, leaving Magdalena very emotional when the song finished and she thanked and farewelled.
