So thanksgiving break was refreshingly stress-free.
The trip back was pretty impressive though. Granted it included the bus ride from hell, but there was something that really impressed me. So in the back of the bus there's a space between the back seats and the end of the bus. There's a door to the outside world, and the luggage goes in that little space. Unfortunately the bus driver either forgot to lock the back or it was broken or something, because everyone's bags ended up spilling out down the highway. Yeah. Disaster.
Except.... Possibly the nicest person ever saved the day. A random woman on the highway that happened to be behind us picked up all the bags that fell out and followed us back to the amtrak station and returned them to their owners.
That really impressed me, because it wasn't someone that knew any of us. It was just a random person that happened to be behind us, and she took time out of her night, to stop in the rain and help out some strangers.
I don't really have much else to say, but that really impressed me.
Much love,
