There are benefits and drawbacks to using ITA to book your trip.

Pro's:
Easy to use web site.
Great deals can be found.

Con's:
The trips it finds are sometimes impossible to book.

That having been said, the cheapest fare I could from from Atlanta to Berlin flying business class or better was around $4,500 dollars using traditional sites like Expedia, Orbitz, etc..  ITA was able to find me a fare for $2,335.00.

Ultimately I had to book the first leg of the fare myself, first through Orbitz, and then through Icelandair's website.

Delta Flight  DL 488 from Atlanta to Baltimore - First Class
Departure: 12:30pm
Arrival: 2:16pm

Once in Baltimore I have to get my luggage, and change airlines. ;)

Icelandair Flight F1542 from Baltimore to Reykjavik - Saga/Business Class
Departure: 8:45pm (long layover in Baltimore)
Arrival: 6:25am (+1 day)

Icelandair Flight F1528 from Reykjavik to Berlin - Saga/Business Class
Departure: 8:00am
Arrival: 1:15pm

Then I board the ICE (Intercity Express), which is a high speed train service in German
Berlin to Jena ICE - First Class
Departure: 14:57
Arrival: 17:11

Then apparently is a 250 meter (about an eighth of a mile) walk to my hotel.
