I was feeling a bit down this morning - I think looking at everyones facebook pictures and reading people's ljs I just really really wanted to be somewhere else doing something *fun* instead of stuck here. I have seen a few people, I had a great night on monday with Lizzy, Nick and Jon and I've had some good weekends here and there over the last nine weeks, but right now work is reaaally getting me down, and I just want it to be over. So yeah, I was a bit glum, but I thought, no! It's a bank holiday weekend, you have pretty much no jobs to do, you *are* going to get up out of bed and DO something! So I got dolled up, put on makeup even, and went and spent almost an hour browsing in the Oxfam bookshop down the road. Damn second hand books are way more expensive than they used to be! I remember when you could get them for 20p a piece, I spent over £5 for two! Still, I got The Persuit of Love by Nancy Mitford which I've wanted for aaaages, ever since reading Love in A Cold Climate (I know, wrong order!) at christmas, and I Could Ride All Day in My Cool Blue Train by Peter Hobbs, mainly because the cover was beautiful but it's short stories and really easy to read.

So today I've been sitting on my bed reading I Could Ride... and watching Australia's Next Top Model on Youtube, and tomorrow, if it's still nice outside, while JingJing's at work I'm going to go to Royal Fort Gardens and sit in the sun and enjoy myself :)

At some point I should really pack too... I am fairly sure it will end up being everything I own chucked in the boot of the car at 7am on friday, but for now I can at least pretend it's going to be organised. You know what I should do? I should make a list! I love lists. I love crossing things off lists. They make me feel productive even when I'm not :)
