The story that would not end? I think...it's finished.
First draft, anyway. :-D
It's called Through the Twilight and ends out at 64,679 words. Oi. That's a LOT of words, even for me. And it's GEN. Well.
rosewildeirish claims it's pre-slash, which, yeah, I suppose you could read it that way without squinting too much. Guess you can't take the slasher out of the writer. It's my first foray into the Buffy fandom, and I kept saying to myself, "No, you couldn't write just 10,000 words of porn for your first Buffyverse story, could you? That would be *way* too easy. You had to tackle hurt/comfort and angst." I iz so smrt.
So, off to betas it goes now, after I recover. My brain is gooshy.
Oh, BTW? Go over to
rosewildeirish's LJ and read her Giles/Xander story, It Takes A Demon. Definitely NOT gen, and oh so good. She has a great original character in Gene, and her Giles is so sexy. Hummina. *pushes everyone over to her LJ*
Must do brainless things now, as I have no brains left. Or right.
:-)
ETA: If I post this on LJ, it'll probably be nine posts, maybe ten. *Contemplates nine or ten posts and shudders.*
