freekin' weekend

This weekend I was on-call at work. In other words I had to have my phone on me at all times and be ready to answer it and if necessary go downtown and pick up or deliver whatever is necessary. However since business has been so slow ever since I was hired no one called.

But I was given the company van to drive home in case it was needed. I made use of it driving out to Battle Ground, Washington. A very rural town about an hour away. I got lost trying to find this guy's house. The reason I drove out there was to purchase a 36 inch television set from craigslist. The set is so heavy and huge. 250 pounds! Think about that....250 pounds. That number does not really mean anything to me, maybe not to you either. After trying to life that thing....my hands still feel strained. The man we bought it from helped me get it to the van. A hobo outside my house helped me get it into my house from the van for 5 dollars. This is the hobo who constantly asks for a quarter every single time I see him.

We arranged the house to go around the TV, cause the tv is impossible to lift.

We also went to Target where I bought a dirty laundry container, wooden chess board/case, 5 new pairs of socks and 5 pairs of undies which are way too big even though they are from the boy's section. Kristina bought a sewing machine, so now she has to make me some new ones!

All in all, it was a very nice weekend. We relaxed, caught the tailend of one playoff game, and played lots of Wii (mostly pacman and shining force 2).

Also Kristina bought the new J.K. Rowling book, Tale's of Beedle the Bard. We are going to read one a night before bed, so far the first one was just okay, nothing to blog home about.
